Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric
• Manage anesthesia for a high-volume surgery schedule (including endoscopy cases)
• Collaborate with the supervising anesthesiologist and OR team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in Epic and complete required Epic training prior to start (waiver available for experienced users)
• Participate in required orientation and complete a physical and 5-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Work independently and confidently in a fully staffed OR environment, covering two ORs and one endoscopy suite
• Respond appropriately to trauma activations and maintain readiness for Level 4 trauma cases

Qualifications

• Active CRNA certification or current eligibility to obtain CRNA certification
• Willingness/ability to obtain Michigan licensure (facility will consider providers needing a license)
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with an anesthesiologist supervisor
• Experience or comfort with endoscopy cases and managing a high daily case load
• Experience caring for patients from pediatric through geriatric populations and Level 4 trauma exposure
• Ability to complete Epic training prior to start (waiver available for experienced Epic users)
• Must complete orientation prior to start and a physical plus 5-panel drug screen within 30 days

Education

• CRNA (advanced practice nursing degree required for CRNA certification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong anesthesia clinical skills across a variety of surgical procedures
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and willingness to complete training
• Comfort managing endoscopy workflows and high-volume OR settings
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
• Effective teamwork and communication with anesthesiologists and OR staff
• Adaptability to sporadic PRN scheduling and variable case mix
