Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Support patients in regaining independence through engaging therapeutic activities and exercises
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the care team
• Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques for daily living
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to adjust care plans for the best outcomes
• Bring energy and compassion to every session, helping patients reach their goals

Qualifications

• Active COTA certification from NBCOT
• Valid New Hampshire state licensure or ability to obtain before start
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A passion for helping others succeed

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and adaptive equipment
• Experience documenting in electronic health records
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
• Physical ability to assist patients with transfers and mobility
• Understanding of patient-centered care and rehabilitation principles
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
