Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and high-quality care
• Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Maine (required)
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with residents and team members
• Willingness to complete facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Current CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of safe patient handling and mobility techniques
• Basic infection control and hygiene practices
• Ability to perform accurate documentation and follow care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, patient-focused approach
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
