Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Take and report vital signs and any changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, helping residents maintain independence where possible
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility procedures to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support person-centered care plans
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
- Ability and willingness to work overnight/night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Local to Silver City, NM — this is a LOCAL ONLY assignment
- Able to pass facility-required background checks and meet onboarding requirements
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and providing direct resident care
- Basic clinical skills such as taking vital signs and observing patient condition
- Good documentation and reporting abilities
- Patient-centered communication and the ability to work well in a team
- Awareness of infection control and safety best practices
