Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities
- Support nursing staff by taking vital signs and documenting patient status accurately
- Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and personal hygiene needs
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Participate in orientation and unit training to continually improve skills
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Willingness to complete orientation as provided by the facility
- Current basic patient care skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
- Previous experience preferred but new CNAs eager to learn are welcome
- Ability to pass background checks and any facility-required screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL assistance
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with documentation and basic clinical observation
- Infection control and safe patient handling practices
- Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
