Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents, promoting their dignity and independence
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Assess, plan, and evaluate resident care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Document resident status and care interventions accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate residents and families on health conditions, treatments, and care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment, adhering to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of Maine
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts as needed
• Strong clinical judgment and a passion for patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of nursing care principles, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, empathetic approach to care
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
