Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care and assistance to residents, helping them maintain dignity and independence
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
- Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
- Engage with residents in meaningful ways, being attentive to their emotional and social needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible care
Qualifications
- Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Maine
- Valid CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
- COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption (per facility requirements)
- Ability to provide state or federal issued identification and wear a photo badge while on assignment
- A genuine passion for caring for others and making a difference
- Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility health requirements
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caregiving
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assist with daily living activities and mobility support
- Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Team player who collaborates well with nurses and other staff
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to adapt to changing resident needs
