Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care and assistance to residents, helping them maintain dignity and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Engage with residents in meaningful ways, being attentive to their emotional and social needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible care

Qualifications

• Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Maine
• Valid CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption (per facility requirements)
• Ability to provide state or federal issued identification and wear a photo badge while on assignment
• A genuine passion for caring for others and making a difference
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility health requirements
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but not required

• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caregiving
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with daily living activities and mobility support
• Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring and documentation
• Team player who collaborates well with nurses and other staff
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to adapt to changing resident needs
