Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Day shift, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (12-hour shift with 30-minute meal break)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents, promoting their dignity and independence
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Assess, plan, and evaluate resident care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
- Document resident status and care interventions accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate residents and families on health conditions, treatments, and care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment, adhering to infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of Maine
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts as needed
- Strong clinical judgment and a passion for patient-centered care
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of nursing care principles, medication administration, and patient assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, empathetic approach to care
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
