Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
• Document patient care and observations in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing is a plus
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends on a per diem basis
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices
• Ability to interpret telemetry rhythms and identify arrhythmias
• Skilled in patient assessment and care planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
