Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accurate diagnostic images
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms, maintaining the highest standards of infection control
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, making each visit a positive experience
• Maintain accurate patient records and support the front office with scheduling and documentation

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain certification
• Maryland Dental Radiographer certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Prior experience in an orthodontic practice is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients of all ages
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in taking and processing dental radiographs
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
