Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy while keeping patients comfortable and at ease
• Take and develop dental X-rays, assess oral health, and accurately document findings
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterilized, well-organized operatory
• Partner with the care team to create positive, stress-free dental experiences for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous clinical experience in a dental office is preferred, but enthusiastic new grads are welcome to apply
• Strong attention to infection control and patient safety protocols
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional chairside manner
• Ability to work the posted 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM shift schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, periodontal instruments, and radiography
• Comfortable using dental software and charting systems
• Skilled in patient education, preventive care planning, and thorough documentation
• Empathy and active listening to ease patient anxiety
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
