Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding preventive dental care, including cleanings, exams, and patient education
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist with precision and care
• Take and develop dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect patients' teeth
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques for long-term health
• Assist the dentist during procedures while ensuring a comfortable patient experience
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced dental practice
• Prior experience is a plus, but new graduates are welcomed

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene techniques and best practices
• Proficiency with dental software and digital x-ray systems
• Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
