Contract Type: Perm

Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week); flexible scheduling with some evening/weekend hours as needed

Hours per Week: 38

Bill Rate: $35.60 - $48.17/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administrative and clinical functioning of the adult outpatient mental health program, ensuring seamless delivery of services to clients and the community.
  • Supervise and support a team of clinicians, fostering a collaborative and culturally competent work environment.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Respond to crisis situations, including after-hours crisis call coverage to support program staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with community partners and leverage community resources to enhance client care.
  • Maintain accurate data tracking and reporting, with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • You hold a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • You possess an active Michigan state license as an LMSW, LLP, or LPC, free from disciplinary action.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • You bring demonstrated competence in individual, family, and group mental health/substance abuse treatment.
  • You have experience in a community mental health setting and knowledge of community resources (highly preferred).
  • You can work independently and as part of a team, with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You demonstrate a nonjudgmental, culturally sensitive approach and can handle crisis situations effectively.
  • You are not on a student/work visa and do not require sponsorship to work in the U.S.

Education

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling

  • Mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment
  • Individual, family, and group therapy techniques
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
  • Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populations
  • Community mental health experience and knowledge of local resources
  • Strong organizational, data-tracking, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
