Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Lawton, Oklahoma

Candidate Pay Rate: $24 - $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
Implement treatment plans developed by the physical therapist with attention to safety and progress
Monitor and document patient responses, making timely notes in the care plan
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
Support safe patient transfers and use of mobility aids while promoting independence
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing with the state of Oklahoma
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree)
Current BLS/CPR certification
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Compassionate approach with the ability to motivate and encourage patients
Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply

Education

Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of therapeutic exercise principles and patient mobility techniques
Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
Knowledge of safe patient handling, transfers, and assistive devices
Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and adapt to patient needs
Strong observational skills to track patient progress and report concerns
