Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver impactful physical therapy evaluations and treatments that help patients regain their functional abilities
• Create personalized therapy plans that evolve with each patient's progress and goals
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure seamless transitions from hospital to home
• Educate patients and families with clear, practical home exercise programs they can confidently follow
• Guide and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants and support staff to deliver exceptional care
• Document patient encounters thoroughly to support quality outcomes and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active Alaska Physical Therapist license at time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum 1 year experience in adult outpatient rehab
• Pediatric PT experience required
• Flu vaccination required

Education

• Entry-level master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• OR graduate from an APTA-approved Physical Therapy program at master's or bachelor's level with 2 years proven experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities across all age groups
• Clear communication and patient education skills
• Comfort working with both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Proficiency with documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to direct support staff and students effectively
