Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Harrisonville, Missouri

Start Date: 06-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, flexible 8-hour day shifts between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM start time, 35 hours per week guaranteed

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based rehabilitative treatments under Physical Therapist supervision
Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities to improve patient function
Monitor patient progress and communicate adjustments with the supervising therapist
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on physical disorder management
Document all treatments and regulatory information accurately in electronic systems
Collaborate with the care team during patient conferences and utilization reviews
Support students and assist with obtaining necessary DME and supplies

Qualifications

Active Missouri PTA license required
Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
LTC or Rehab experience preferred
Strong commitment to ethical practice and APTA guidelines

Knowledge & Skills

Evidence-based rehabilitation practices
Patient assessment and progress documentation
Therapeutic exercise and manual techniques
Effective communication with patients and care teams
Electronic documentation systems
