Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies with precision
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care
• Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and equipment to the highest standards
• Collaborate closely with nurses and physicians to create a safe and efficient workflow
• Uphold rigorous safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and team members

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile field management
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical instruments and equipment
• Ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs and act quickly
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient positioning
