Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosing oral conditions
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care
• Document patient histories and treatment plans accurately
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent communication and patient-education skills
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a sterile environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental prophylaxis and scaling techniques
• Proficient in taking and interpreting dental radiographs
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
