Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional dental hygiene care, including cleanings and oral health assessments
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall oral hygiene techniques
- Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis
- Collaborate with dentists to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Maintain a sterile and organized environment by following infection control protocols
- Document patient treatment plans and update dental records accurately
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
- Current CPR (BLS) certification
- Proven experience as a dental hygienist
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
- Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
- Skill in patient education and oral health promotion
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
