Location: Sacramento, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour day shifts with varied start times (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG and valve surgeries
Assist surgeons during fast-paced cardiac cases with confidence and precision
Maintain sterile technique while supporting the surgical team in a high-volume environment
Monitor and interpret EKG strips to ensure patient safety throughout procedures
Collaborate with the charge nurse and CSTs to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
Current BLS certification
NIHSS certification preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiovascular operating room procedures
Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced surgical environment
Strong sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge
Comfortable with call responsibilities and varied shift times
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
