Location: Sacramento, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour day shifts with varied start times (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for complex cardiovascular procedures with precision and care
Assist surgeons during CABG, valve replacements, and other heart surgeries as a confident CVOR specialist
Maintain sterile technique and anticipate surgeon needs in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with the OR team to ensure every patient receives exceptional care
Float occasionally to other Sacramento facilities when needed to support the broader team

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
NIHSS and EKG interpretation skills preferred
Cerner EMR experience a plus
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Strong CVOR technique and confidence in cardiac procedures
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume OR with 8-10 surgeries daily
Flexible and reliable with call and weekend coverage
