Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and MedSurg levels
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor ventilators and perform hemodynamic assessments to ensure patient stability
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float within similar units to support dynamic patient needs while maintaining excellent care standards
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to create meaningful connections

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome with strong foundational skills
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of oncology and trauma patient care
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
Comfort with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Willingness to float to similar units as needed
