Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate primary care and follow each resident's individual plan of care
Administer medications accurately and perform timely assessments to prevent negative occurrences
Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Maintain a safe environment using universal precautions and strong infection control practices

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
Associate's degree in nursing

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical leadership skills
Ability to coach and educate nursing support staff
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and safety standards
Commitment to Planetree patient-centered philosophy
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
