Location: Sacramento, California

End Date: 09-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour day shifts with varied hours (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM starts), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG and valve surgeries
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields in a fast-paced CVOR environment
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Interpret EKG strips and monitor patient vitals throughout procedures
Support efficient OR operations handling 8-10 surgeries daily across four suites

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
Current BLS certification required
NIHSS certification preferred
Strong confidence in CVOR skills and ability to work independently
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiovascular operating room procedures
Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Strong sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
