Location: Sacramento, California

End Date: 09-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour day shifts with varied start times (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for complex cardiovascular procedures
Assist surgeons during CABG, valve replacements, and other heart surgeries
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team in a fast-paced, high-volume CVOR environment
Monitor and interpret EKG strips to support patient care
Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed to support the broader team

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
NIHSS certification preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiovascular operating room procedures
Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced surgical environment
Strong sterile technique and attention to detail
Comfortable with overnight call and weekend coverage
Flexible and adaptable to floating between facilities
