Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: St. Louis, Missouri
Start Date: 08-13-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, 8.5-hour shifts (Shift Type: SPT); schedule varies by assignment
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients with compassion and expertise
- Develop individualized care plans that help each child reach their communication potential
- Deliver evidence-based therapy in a state-of-the-art children's hospital setting
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate holistic care
- Empower families with education and home strategies to support progress between sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation to ensure quality, continuity, and compliance
Qualifications
- Active Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows welcome to apply
- Experience with pediatric patients preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of pediatric speech, language, and feeding disorders
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with electronic health records and medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
