Speech-Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-13-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, as needed; flexible 8.5-hour shifts (start/end times vary, no scheduled break)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate pediatric patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of need
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans that help children reach their communication milestones
- Collaborate closely with caregivers, nurses, and physicians to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's care
- Document patient progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed to promote the best outcomes
- Educate families on at-home exercises and strategies to support continued development
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows welcome to apply
- Pediatric experience is a plus, especially in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
