Shift Type: Per Diem, as needed; flexible 8.5-hour shifts (start/end times vary, no scheduled break)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate pediatric patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of need
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans that help children reach their communication milestones
  • Collaborate closely with caregivers, nurses, and physicians to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's care
  • Document patient progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed to promote the best outcomes
  • Educate families on at-home exercises and strategies to support continued development

Qualifications

  • Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows welcome to apply
  • Pediatric experience is a plus, especially in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
