Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Support and educate families during challenging times
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license (or compact license where applicable)
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience is a plus
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of pediatric assessment and interventions
• Comfort with ventilators, IV pumps, and critical care monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
