Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to adult oncology and trauma PCU patients
• Administer chemotherapy and titrate insulin, Cardizem, and other drips as ordered
• Perform hourly rounding and bedside shift reports to enhance patient experience
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing assistants, charge nurses, and case managers
• Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units as needed while maintaining the same level of care
• Monitor and manage high-flow nasal cannula and other respiratory equipment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in PCU or Med/Surg
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred
• First-time travelers welcome!
• Must live outside 50 miles from the facility and not be employed by CommonSpirit/CHI facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps
• Comfortable titrating insulin and Cardizem drips
• Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and safety
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to float to different units at the same level of care
