Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs, and promptly report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff
- Support residents with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and offer emotional support to enhance their quality of life
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
Qualifications
- Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification in Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements or have an approved medical/religious exemption
- Ability to provide a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to caring for older adults
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care techniques and safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to follow individualized care plans and document observations accurately
- Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and support residents safely
- Understanding of HIPAA and resident confidentiality
