Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment accurately

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana (or compact license)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous experience in PCU, ICU, or acute care nursing preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions
