Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer IV medications, chemotherapy, blood products, and specialty infusions in a comfortable outpatient setting
• Manage and maintain central venous access devices, including PICC lines, ports, and catheters
• Perform peripheral IV insertions and provide patient education on self-administration of medications
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver personalized care for chronic conditions
• Monitor patients throughout infusions, quickly responding to any adverse reactions
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with autoimmune disorders, Crohn's disease, MS, and more

Qualifications

• 2+ years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion (required)
• Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) (required)
• Peripheral IV insertion experience (required)
• Port/Fistula/Catheter experience (required)
• EPIC experience (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• New York State RN license (or ability to obtain)
• Previous traveler experience (preferred)
• BSN (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in IV therapy and vascular access management
• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
• Strong EPIC electronic health record skills
• Excellent patient education and communication abilities
• Ability to de-escalate stressful situations with care and professionalism
