Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care to neuro patients in a 32-bed Level 1 Trauma ICU
Perform advanced neuro assessments and manage ICP monitoring with precision
Collaborate with a world-renowned Barrow Neurological Institute team on complex cases
Float between ICU and Telemetry units while delivering compassionate, high-quality care
Support life-saving procedures including craniotomies, tumor removals, and spine surgeries
Maintain sterile technique during SIMs Lab skills and daily patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license and 2 years of ICU experience in a large (450+ bed) facility
Level 1 Trauma experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong neuro assessment skills and proven EVD experience
3-6 months of recent travel nursing experience preferred
Ability to pass pre-employment DYS exam and day-one SIMs Lab skills check

Knowledge & Skills

Neuro ICU nursing with ICP and EVD expertise
Ventilator management and Cerner EMR proficiency
Strong critical thinking and sterile field maintenance
Flexibility to float across ICU and Telemetry units
Compassionate communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams
