Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide holistic nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, ensuring comfort and safety
Administer IV medications and manage drips including Lasix, heparin, and insulin
Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and continuous cardiac monitoring
Coordinate postoperative care and educate patients and families on recovery plans
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

Active RN license in hand at time of submission - no exceptions
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg Telemetry experience
Ability to float to similar units (D1, F2) as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expert in head-to-toe assessment and orthopedic care
Skilled in IV medication administration and managing Lasix, heparin, and IVP drugs
Proficient in wound care including drain management, VAC therapy, and ostomy care
Experienced with central lines (PICC, HD catheter, midlines), foley, and nephrostomy tubes
Knowledgeable in NGT/G tube care, parenteral nutrition, and postoperative patient care
