Location: Aurora, CO

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days (3x12-hour shifts)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients with varied mental health issues in a geri-psych unit
Perform admissions and discharges, coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
Serve as a lead resource for staff, utilizing de-escalation techniques
Ensure a safe therapeutic environment for patients
Collaborate with a supportive team in a family-oriented workplace

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado
BLS certification
CPI Certification or Calm Every Storm Certification
Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience
Strong inpatient behavioral health experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of psychiatric nursing and de-escalation techniques
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle patient acuity with flexibility and compassion
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
Leadership skills to serve as a lead RN resource
