Location: San Antonio, TX

Start Date: 07-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns
Monitor fetal heart tracings and intervene as needed
Assist in vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
Collaborate with obstetricians and multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care
Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations

Qualifications

Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted)
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Willingness to float to other units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Proficiency in electronic medical records (Meditech preferred)
Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
