Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 8-hour shifts, one weekend per month with compensatory weekdays off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and medical/surgical conditions in an inpatient rehab setting
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff
Document patient progress in Meditech EMR and adjust care plans as needed
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety techniques

Qualifications

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Licensed Physical Therapist in Florida or compact eligible
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF
DPT degree preferred but not required
Strong critical thinking and time management skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Meditech EMR
Experience with treatment modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and gait training
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
