Location: Bradenton, FL

Start Date: 06-30-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; rotating weekends and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
Provide skilled physical therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to set patient-centered goals and facilitate discharges
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive equipment use
Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR

Qualifications

Active Florida Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Willingness to work on the IRF unit and provide acute care coverage as needed
Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience; hospital or IRF experience highly preferred
Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in using Meditech EMR and therapy equipment like Vector and LiteGait
Experience with stroke/neuro rehab and ADL training
Ability to manage a caseload of 4 patients/day (IRF) or 8-12 patients/day (acute care)
Flexible team player with excellent communication skills
