Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients across the lifespan
• Partner with patients and families to create personalized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision
• Closely monitor patient conditions and intervene quickly when changes occur
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to drive positive outcomes
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Louisiana (compact license accepted where applicable)
• Previous med/surg or acute care experience is a plus, but new grads are welcome to apply
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Ability to work 12.5-hour per diem shifts with flexibility
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-first care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing standards and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and charting systems
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Capable of prioritizing care in a fast-paced environment
