Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a rehab hospital setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Monitor patient progress, recognizing and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare teams for coordinated care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and health management

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Virginia (or compact state license)
• BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
• Previous med/surg or acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med/surg nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
