Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, resident-centered care to long term care residents throughout the night
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring for changes in condition
• Complete thorough assessments and document findings clearly and on time
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and fellow nurses to build and adjust care plans
• Support residents and families with education, reassurance, and a calm presence
• Respond quickly and confidently to emergencies and changing clinical needs
• Mentor and support CNAs and new team members on your unit
• Keep a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for every resident

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Maine, or a compact license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of RN experience, with long term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or a documented religious or medical exemption
• State or federally issued identification to present at the facility, plus a facility photo badge
• A team player attitude, strong clinical judgment, and a genuine love for patient care

• Skilled nursing and long term care clinical practices
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Resident assessment and care planning
• Electronic medical record charting and documentation
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Clear communication with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Time management and calm decision making during night shifts
