Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care that helps residents feel safe, seen and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report changes to the nursing team
• Support skilled nursing and rehabilitation goals by encouraging residents through therapy exercises and daily routines
• Respond quickly and calmly to call lights and resident needs throughout the night shift
• Keep accurate charting and documentation so the care team always has the full picture
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and fellow CNAs to deliver seamless, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation or long-term care is a big plus
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completed original or updated COVID-19 vaccine series, or a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• Reliable, dependable and ready to commit to the full 9-week assignment

• Strong bedside manner and a genuine heart for resident care
• Comfortable taking vital signs and spotting changes that need a nurse's attention
• Solid documentation and charting habits
• Team player who communicates clearly with nurses, therapists and support staff
• Able to stay steady and focused through overnight 12-hour shifts
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude even on the busiest nights
