Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate bedside care that helps residents feel safe, respected, and well looked after
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting each step in the charting system
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly to the supervising RN and physician team
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and routine clinical procedures
• Support residents with daily living activities and mobility to promote comfort and independence
• Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, and therapists to keep every care plan on track
• Educate residents and families on treatment plans, medications, and healthy routines
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to keep the entire care community protected

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Maine
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• At least one year of LPN experience, ideally in long term care or a similar skilled nursing setting
• Ability to bring a state or federally issued photo ID and wear a facility photo badge at all times
• A caring attitude, strong work ethic, and comfort working as part of a close-knit care team

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid grasp of medication administration and dosage calculations
• Comfort with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Wound care and basic clinical assessment skills
• Clear, warm communication with residents, families, and coworkers
• Strong time management during a busy evening shift
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices
• Team-first mindset with a genuine heart for geriatric care
