Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care across antepartum, triage, labor, postpartum, and newborn stages
- Administer medications including Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotics using Alaris IV pumps
- Monitor patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 4-bed unit
- Collaborate with the charge nurse to ensure smooth unit operations without taking patient assignments
- Support approximately 100-125 births annually with skilled, attentive care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery experience
- Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for labor and delivery patients
- Comfortable managing common drips and IV medications
- Ability to float and task in MedSurg when needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
