Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
- Triage patients and serve as the baby catcher/transition nurse during deliveries
- Monitor and titrate Pitocin drips to support safe labor progression
- Collaborate with on-call providers to ensure timely responses during active labor
- Support postpartum recovery and newborn care with a hands-on, nurturing approach
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
- Comfortable functioning independently as both LDRP nurse and baby catcher
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong LDRP and triage skills
- Experience with OBIX fetal monitoring system
- Ability to read and interpret fetal strips independently
- Flexible and adaptable in a small, rural hospital environment
