End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring patients and their families during one of life's most meaningful moments
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Support mothers through antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery with evidence-based practices
Collaborate with the healthcare team to care for patients with hypertension, diabetes, and post-surgical GYN needs
Maintain excellent patient experience scores while following AWHONN guidelines for safe nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong assessment skills and ability to titrate drips independently
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and delivery expertise with ability to manage high-risk pregnancies
Drip titration experience with Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines and patient ratios
Excellent communication skills for supporting families during childbirth
Ability to work collaboratively in a Blue Distinction+ unit focused on patient experience
