Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patients on a single combined unit
Titrate sedation, vasopressors, and insulin drips to maintain patient stability
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret 12-lead EKGs for ICU patients
Collaborate with respiratory therapy to manage ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment
Float to support adult Med-Surg and Pediatric units while maintaining ICU/PCU competency
Respond to low-census standby rotations to ensure safe staffing levels

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg in a larger facility with strong skills
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Willingness to float to multiple units with two-hour notice

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and drip titration skills
Comfort managing combined-acuity assignments from ICU 1:2 to Med-Surg 1:5-6
Proficient with bedside cardiac monitoring and remote telemetry interpretation
Flexible and team-oriented approach to floating and standby rotations
