Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
• Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems with centralized telemetry
• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based care
• Float to inpatient units as needed (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide patient care
• Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse
• Manage advanced equipment and procedures including vents, CVPs, arterial lines, Swans, ICP monitoring, and EV-1000

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal
• Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
• Willingness to adhere to the facility's no artificial nails policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry interpretation and drip titration expertise
• Experience with neuro surgery, CRRT, Impella, balloon pump, and ICP monitoring preferred but not required
• Strong critical thinking and positive attitude in high-volume environments
• Comfort working with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including student providers
