Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications while closely monitoring patient response
Manage ventilators from nasal cannula to full ventilator support and troubleshoot as needed
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors with tele tech oversight
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed while maintaining safe patient ratios
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Drip titration for cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Ventilator management from basic oxygen delivery to full support
Strong critical thinking and rapid response skills
Ability to float between ICU, PCU, and MedSurg as needed
