Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-acuity care across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
• Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
• Float within a dynamic 60-mile zone, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations
• Monitor and interpret telemetry independently while providing vigilant patient oversight
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists and the care team to troubleshoot vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Support patients on advanced therapies such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella with 1:1 attention when acuity demands

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience; 3+ years plus Epic experience preferred for first-time travelers
• Comfortable floating across ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units
• Epic charting experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Skilled in interpreting telemetry strips without monitor tech support
• Strong critical thinking for rapid response in high-acuity situations
• Flexible and adaptable when floating within a 60-mile zone
• Excellent communication and teamwork across diverse hospital settings
